By renting with Rei's Rentals, the Hirer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

The Hirer must:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a current and valid driver's license.
• International visitors must hold a valid overseas driver's license and obtain a Samoan Temporary Driver's Permit where required by law.
• Present valid identification at the time of vehicle collection.

2. Rental Period

The rental period begins when the vehicle is collected and ends when it is returned to Rei's Rentals.

The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time.

Late returns may incur additional daily rental charges.

3. Rental Charges

The Hirer agrees to pay:

• Vehicle rental charges.
• Security bond.
• Fuel replacement charges.
• Cleaning fees if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
• Damage charges.
• Traffic fines and infringement notices.
• Any additional agreed services.

4. Security Bond

A refundable security bond of $ST500.00 is required.

The bond may be retained partially or fully for:

• Vehicle damage
• Missing accessories
• Fuel replacement
• Cleaning charges
• Unpaid rental fees
• Traffic infringements
• Breach of these Terms & Conditions

5. Driver Responsibilities

The Hirer agrees to:

• Drive safely and responsibly.
• Comply with all road rules and traffic laws.
• Lock the vehicle whenever unattended.
• Take reasonable care of the vehicle.
• Check engine warning lights and report mechanical issues immediately.
• Use the correct fuel type.

6. Prohibited Use

The vehicle must NOT be used:

• By any person not listed on the Rental Agreement.
• Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• For racing or speed testing.
• For driver training.
• To carry illegal goods.
• To tow another vehicle without written approval.
• For commercial transport unless authorised.
• Off-road or on roads unsuitable for normal passenger vehicles.
• In any illegal activity.

7. Additional Drivers

Only drivers approved by Rei's Rentals and listed on the Rental Agreement may drive the vehicle.

The Hirer is responsible for the actions of all authorised drivers.

8. Fuel

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as supplied.

Failure to do so will result in fuel replacement charges plus a service fee.

9. Smoking

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside all vehicles.

A cleaning fee may apply if this condition is breached.

10. Pets

Pets are not permitted unless prior approval has been obtained.

Cleaning charges may apply where necessary.

11. Vehicle Condition

The Hirer confirms that the vehicle has been inspected before departure and accepts it in good condition unless defects are recorded on the Vehicle Condition Report.

Any new damage must be reported immediately.

12. Breakdown

If the vehicle experiences mechanical failure:

• Contact Rei's Rentals immediately.
• Do not arrange repairs without approval unless necessary for safety.
• Follow instructions provided by Rei's Rentals.

Reasonable roadside assistance will be provided where applicable.

13. Accident Procedure

If involved in an accident:

• Stop immediately.
• Notify Police where required.
• Obtain details of all parties involved.
• Take photographs where possible.
• Contact Rei's Rentals immediately.
• Complete an Accident Report.

14. Traffic Offences

The Hirer is solely responsible for:

• Speeding fines
• Parking infringements
• Toll charges
• Traffic offences
• Court penalties

An administration fee may also apply.

15. Loss or Damage

The Hirer accepts responsibility for:

• Lost keys
• Damaged tyres
• Damaged rims
• Broken windscreens where excluded
• Lost accessories
• Interior damage
• Excessive wear beyond normal use

16. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled vehicle collection date will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made 3–6 days before the scheduled collection date will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled collection time are non-refundable.
• If you fail to collect your vehicle without prior notice ("No Show"), your booking will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.

17. Early Returns

No refund is payable for unused rental days unless approved by Rei's Rentals.

18. Extension of Rental

• Rental extensions must be approved before the original return time. Please contact Rei's Rentals to discuss.
• Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.

19. Liability

Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the Hirer.

Rei's Rentals accepts no responsibility for:

• Lost property
• Personal injury caused through misuse
• Delays resulting from vehicle breakdown beyond our reasonable control
• Missed flights or accommodation bookings

20. Termination

Rei's Rentals may immediately terminate the rental agreement and recover the vehicle if:

• These Terms & Conditions are breached.
• False information has been provided.
• The vehicle is used unlawfully.
• The vehicle is considered at risk.
